TWO FLUVANNA COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE COMMENDED IN 2019 NATIONAL MERIT® SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

PRESS RELEASE – October 1, 2018

Fluvanna County High School announced today that Bayley Leyshon and William “Liam” Bridge have been named Commended Students in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, was presented to these scholastically talented seniors.

Fluvanna County High School Class of 2018 Scholarship and Award Recipients

On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, the Senior Awards Ceremony for the Class of 2018 was held. The following students received community awards and scholarships for their accomplishments at FCHS. The Class of 2018 has earned over $1.3 million in scholarships. We are so proud of their achievements.

Congratulations to the Fluvanna County High SchoolClass of 2018 Early College Scholars

PRESS RELEASE – May 23, 2018

The following students completed the Governor’s Early College Scholars Agreement which required students to earn an Advanced Studies Diploma, graduate with a 3.0 or higher grade point average, and earn 15 transferrable college credits. Transferrable college credits are earned by taking dual enrollment classes or earning a score of 3 or higher on Advanced Placement (AP) Testing. These students have a minimum of 15 transferrable college credits, at this time. In July, when results of the Spring 2018 AP Testing are received, this list of students may increase.

Fluvanna County High School Announces Class of 2018 Paul W. Bragg Scholarship Recipients

Fluvanna County High School is pleased to announce recipients of the Paul W. Bragg Scholarship. Established by Mr. Bragg’s will, and managed by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, the scholarship is meant, “to provide undergraduate college assistance based on both need and merit to
graduates of Fluvanna County High School.”
