Fluvanna County High School Announces Class of 2017 Paul W. Bragg Scholarship Recipients

PRESS RELEASE – May 19, 2017

Fluvanna County High School is pleased to announce recipients of the Paul W. Bragg Scholarship. Established by Mr. Bragg’s will, and managed by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, the scholarship is meant, “to provide undergraduate college assistance based on both need and merit to graduates of Fluvanna County High School.”

Fluvanna County High School Recognizes Students Pursuing Fine Arts at the Collegiate Level

On Tuesday, May 2, Fluvanna County High School held a Fine Arts Collegiate signing ceremony for 3 graduating seniors. These seniors have not only been accepted to a four-year school, but also to the school’s fine arts department, a rare achievement and honor for an incoming freshman student. FLUVANNA COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS APPOINTS MR. CHUCK WINKLER AS SUPERINTENDENT

At a called School Board meeting on Monday, April 24, 2017, the Fluvanna County School Board unanimously approved the appointment of Mr. Chuck Winkler as Superintendent until June of 2021. The Board organized a nationwide search receiving 24 applications and conducted five interviews before selecting Mr. Winkler.

Fluvanna County Public Schools Students Compete in Regional 24 Math Competition

PRESS RELEASE – April 24, 2017

On Thursday, April 20, 10 students from Fluvanna County Public Schools traveled to Orange County to participate in the Regional 24® Math Competition. The competition featured participants from Greene, Orange, Culpeper, Rappahannock, and Fluvanna County Public Schools, as well as Grymes Memorial School. Students in groups of four played four rounds of the 24® Game.
