Scott Morris Named 3A/4A Athletic Administrator of the Year

At the March meeting of the Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (VIAAA), Fluvanna County High School Athletic Director, Scott Morris was named the 3A/4A Virginia Athletic Administrator of the Year. This is the second time Fluvanna has received the award with Phil Browning earning the honor in 1984.

The Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) has released its 21st annual VSBA Showcases for Success directory, highlighting successful K-12 programs in Virginia’s public schools. Of the 132 school division in Virginia, Fluvanna County Public Schools is one of 56 school divisions that has programs featured in the directory.

Fluvanna Holds Annual 24 Math Competition

On March 30, 2017, the Fluvanna Middle School gymnasium was alive with a different type of competition. There were no basketballs, running, or whistles. The sounds were instead those of students solving math problems and reaching the solution of “24”. Sixty-five students in Grades 3 through 7 worked with their teachers to become eligible to compete in the Fluvanna County Public School’s Annual 24 Math Competition.

Fluvanna County High School is Accepting Applications for the Paul W. Bragg Scholarship

PRESS RELEASE – March 7, 2017

Fluvanna County High School is pleased to announce the availability of the Paul W. Bragg Scholarship Fund application. Established by Mr. Bragg’s will, and managed by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, the scholarship is meant “to provide undergraduate college assistance based on both need and merit to graduates of Fluvanna County High School.” The Paul W. Bragg Scholarship Fund Advisory Committee was formed to develop the eligibility rules, to develop the number of scholarships to be awarded in a given year and the amounts, to develop the application and submission procedures including deadlines, and to develop a brochure to publicize this scholarship fund.

Parents Active at Carysbrook (PAC) is conducting a shoe collection drive on March 1 – May 15th to raise funds for Carysbrook School

Parents Active at Carysbrook (PAC) is conducting a shoe collection drive on March 1 – May 15th to raise funds for Carysbrook School. PAC will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated shoes. Those dollars will benefit the school by helping with field trips, scholarships for Kids College, activities and school events.
