FLUCOS Ace MOS Testing!
MOS is short for Microsoft Office Specialist. Microsoft Certification is one of the most demanding and respected endorsements in the business industry. Having a MOS certification helps students broaden their employment and internship opportunities.
In some of the computer classes at FCHS, students are required to undertake at least one MOS test. However, it is with great joy that we announce a group of remarkable students who have exceeded all expectations by not only passing one, but three MOS tests (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) with flying colors!
As a result, they have now earned the prestigious distinction of being recognized as “Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate” certified individuals. We are very proud of them!

From Coach Edgerton:
It was a total team effort! This is without a doubt, one of the strongest, and hardest working teams I have been lucky enough to coach. Everyone stuck together the entire season, and through every level of competition. They stood by each other, and supported each other. Our goal from the start was to have fun first, make a friend, and if we’re lucky enough, maybe win. It was a good year!
I don’t think there was much luck involved – rather a ton of hard work, dedication and practice!

Regional Math 24 Competition, FLUCOS Shine!
A special note from coordinator, Kenny Yowell:
Last night, our 3rd through 7th-grade Math 24 team participated in the annual regional Math 24 tournament held in Orange County. Congratulations to our team! Our students played in front of a 200-person crowd and did fantastically. Flucos faced off against teams from Orange, Greene, and Spotsylvania County. Out of our team of 20 students, 14 students reached the third round which is the most ever! The Flucos were well-represented in the fourth and final round with 4 students who all placed! This was the first time ever that we had 2 first-place finishers! Special thanks to our awesome Math 24 coaches, Katie Settle and Wiliam Reese. Their passion and commitment to this team are exemplary.
Final results: Avery Goodwin (3rd Grade) third place, Josh Esch (4th grade) first place, Kinsley Christiansen (4th grade) second place, Olivia Varga (6th grade) first place
