FCHS Junior Achieves Distinguished CTE Award!

FCHS Junior Riley Brown is demonstrating excellence in real-world, transferable skills that will serve him well in his future endeavors. The Microsoft Office Specialist – Expert (MOS Expert) credential is very difficult to achieve, and he passed the test with flying colors to receive this distinguished status!

Displaying mastery of Excel, Word, Excel Test, PowerPoint and many other applications Riley has set himself up to better support his future education and work – he can run his own business with these skills!

Please join us in recognizing Riley and his teacher, Christine Kreitzman, on a job well done!

Von Hill, Jr. Helping FLUCOS Become the Best They Can Be!

FLUCOS Honored for Excellence in Achievement!

FLUCOS Honored for Excellence in Achievement!

Several of our FCHS FLUCOS participated in the Special Olympics North America Move Challenge (SONA) this past fall. The SONA Move Challenge was held from September 26 – November 6, 2022.  As a team, our student participants tracked how many minutes they exercised and self-reported that total each week.  Our students worked hard to earn themselves a coveted spot on the region-wide leaderboards!  Students were recognized at school with pins and certificates this past week.  They are looking forward to the next challenge!

FLUCOS Saving Lives!

Thank you to high school teacher Mrs. Sharon Payne and students Jay Lyons, Makayla Gentry and Braelyn Via for the blood drive they organized on January 22nd, 2023.  They did a fantastic job planning and running this life saving opportunity for community members to participate.  The next opportunity the students are organizing will be on March 26th 2023 at the high school. Hope to see you there!

We Are Grateful for our Counselors!

Our counselors play a critical role in the lives of our students, family and staff. Their number one goal every day is to do whatever it takes to help our students succeed – removing obstacles to learning, helping them navigate challenging life circumstances and setting them up to build and enjoy healthy, vibrant relationships.

Let’s celebrate this week and our wonderful counselors by expressing our gratitude and admiration for the incredible contribution they make to our schools and community!
