Young FLUCO Scholars Begin “Project Lead the Way”

Kindergarten classes have just begun their journey of becoming engineers! Students are using collaborative thinking, communication, and creative thinking to design solutions to problems. From creating a beanstalk, to building a house and designing their own painting tool, students are learning and using the engineering design process and preparing for real-world career experiences!

FLUCO One Act Play Crew and Cast Take Second in Region!

Congratulations to the outstanding cast and crew of “Every Brilliant Thing”. The FCHS One-Act Play was runner-up in the regional championship held at Turner Ashby High School last weekend!

Out of 8 schools, Fluvanna placed 2nd. Staunton High School placed 1st. Fluvanna received ranks of 1,2,2, just 2 points behind Staunton!

 

Both junior, Jackson Farley, and freshman, Maddie Gifford received best actor awards! This was Maddie Giffords’ 2nd award this season!

FCHS One-Act Play Qualifies for Regionals!

Our FLUCO One-Act Play Team has done it again with its production and performance of Every Brilliant Thing. Let’s give a special shout-out to Ryan Taylor and Maddie Gifford, both of whom won Best Actor Awards!
There will be an encore performance of this outstanding production Thursday, November 10 at 7PM in the FCHS auditorium.

Don’t miss this BRILLIANT performance, as the cast and crew prepare for Regionals (November 12 at Turner Ashby High School)!

Fluvanna Saving Money with Solar Powering ALL Schools!

Did you know that Fluvanna’s schools are all powered by solar panels, and that the school board will pay the exact same rate per kWh for power for almost the next three decades? That’s right. No matter what happens to energy costs in the coming years, Fluvanna’s schools will pay the same rate, saving our community millions in costs over the coming years!
